HAIR EXTENSION AFTERCARE
Platinum Seamless offers a full line of aftercare products that are specifically formulated to nourish hair and help ensure optimal results. To properly maintain extensions follow the Platinum Seamless aftercare procedures.
AFTERCARE TIPS OVERVIEW:
• Use Platinum Seamless aftercare products or products your stylist recommends. Deviating from recommended products can cause extensions to slip or fall out.
• Wait 48 hours before shampooing hair after extension service.
• Working out or excessive sweat before 48 hours may cause extensions to slip. Always keep conditioner away from attachments. Conditioner at the root can cause extensions to slip.
• Always blow dry attachments thoroughly.
• Be extremely cautious when using hot tools on fragile light blonde extensions.
• When brushing or combing, always support attachments at the root.
• Never pull, tug or vigorously rub extensions or attachments.
• Keep silicone, oil and shine products away from attachments.
• Sunscreens and Argan Oil products may alter extension color. These products should not come in contact with extensions.
• Never go to bed with wet extensions.
SHAMPOO DIRECTIONS
Always brush and detangle hair before shampooing.
Never rub, scrub or bunch hair or attachments while shampooing.
Gently shampoo hair root-to-ends using gentle downward strokes.
Shampoo gently under attachments to remove sweat.
Do not over shampoo extensions. It is recommended to shampoo 2 - 3 times a week. Dry shampoo can be used in-between shampoos.
CONDITIONING DIRECTIONS
Distribute conditioner generously, using downward strokes mid- shaft to ends. Always keep conditioner away from attachments
Run fingers through or gently comb through to distribute conditioner evenly.
Leave on 3 - 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
For lightest shades, a deep treatment masque is recommended 1 - 2 times a week. Never on attachments.
• Use a towel to absorb excess water, blot firmly never rub
COMBING & STYLING
When brushing wet hair always use an extension-safe brush.
When combing never pull or tug, especially on wet hair.
A leave in conditioner may be applied if necessary to comb hair more easily.
When combing or detangling hold hand firmly on attachment.
Always blow dry attachments thoroughly.
Always blow dry hair downward in the direction of hair growth.
Brush hair twice daily with Platinum Seamless BoarLoop Brush
Curling, flat irons or heat rollers may be used at moderate heat levels (350° or less) only when hair is thoroughly dry.
SWIMMING + SPORT ACTIVITIES
• Apply Platinum Seamless Hair Therapy or leave-in conditioner from mid-shaft to ends before water activity.
Loosely braid or place hair in a ponytail, with a cloth band.
Do not tie hair into a bun.
Avoid soaking extensions in water for long periods of time as salt or chlorine damage can occur.
Shampoo and condition as soon as possible to remove salt, chlorine, sweat or oil from hair.
