Pink for a Purpose: Small Strand. Big Impact. — Salon Council Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October 1–31, 2026 | Salon Council — Weston & Pembroke Pines, Florida
This October, Salon Council is proud to introduce our first Pink for a Purpose — Small Strand. Big Impact. campaign in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
As a locally owned South Florida hair salon, we believe beauty can be about more than how we look—it can also be an opportunity to bring people together and support our community. Throughout October, our Salon Council team is inviting our guests, friends, families, and neighbors to join us in raising funds for the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
A Small Strand Can Make a Big Impact
From October 1 through October 31, 2026, guests can make a $20 donation and receive one pink beaded hair extension strand. Participating Salon Council stylists are volunteering their time to install the pink strand at no additional charge.
The pink strand is a simple way to wear your support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and help start conversations about a cause that touches so many individuals and families.
And you do not have to wear a pink hair extension to participate.
Anyone—women, men, existing Salon Council guests, friends, family members, or members of our South Florida community—may simply make a $20 donation without receiving a hair extension.
All proceeds collected through Pink for a Purpose will be donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
Our First Pink for a Purpose Campaign
2026 marks the first year Salon Council is hosting Pink for a Purpose, and we wanted to create something that connects what we do every day as hair professionals with an opportunity to give back.
Hair is our craft. People are at the heart of what we do.
By using a single pink hair extension strand as a symbol of support, our hope is that hundreds of small individual acts can come together to create something much more meaningful.
That is the idea behind our message:
Small Strand. Big Impact.
How to Participate at Salon Council
Participating is simple. Visit either Salon Council in Weston, Florida, or Salon Council in Pembroke Pines, Florida, during October 2026 and ask our Front Team or your stylist about Pink for a Purpose.
Choose the way you would like to participate:
Donate $20 + Wear Pink: Receive one pink beaded hair extension strand with complimentary installation by a participating Salon Council stylist.
Donate $20 Only: Prefer not to wear an extension? You can still make the same $20 contribution to support the campaign. No hair service or extension is required.
Every contribution counts toward our month-long fundraising effort.
Supporting the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation
At the conclusion of the campaign, all proceeds collected through Pink for a Purpose will be donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
For Salon Council, this campaign is about using our salon community to help make a positive difference right here in Florida. Whether someone chooses to wear a pink strand, make a donation, share our campaign, or simply help spread awareness, every act of support contributes to the purpose behind the event.
